Perfectly located close to Central Station and sleeping up to 4 guests in comfort, the excellent 2-bedroom Prins Hendrik II apartment makes the ideal holiday home for your visit to Amsterdam.
Beautiful exposed timber ceiling beams and fresh creamy white walls combine with stylish comfortable furniture to make this holiday rental the perfect base for your short stay in the city. A light and airy living area has two sofas for relaxing with your guests and watching international channels on the provided TV. Large windows and wooden floors throughout create a stylish and inviting ambience. The modern kitchen is fitted with everything you need for whipping up some delicious meals for you and your guests. A stylish dining table and chairs allow you to enjoy mealtimes together in comfort. The three bedrooms are located on the upper floor which is also the roof space so the walls are charmingly sloped. You will find a double bed in one room and four single beds in the second. Both rooms feature attractive storage furniture for all your clothes and essential travel items. The apartment also features a private bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, sink and toilet.
Please note:
This apartment is suitable for families and couples.
Loud music and parties are not allowed.
You will find the apartment slap bang in the centre of the city, just a very short walk to the east of Central Station. Most of the city’s major visitor attractions are within walking distance and the close proximity to the station means you can easily explore other locations nearby such as pretty Haarlem or Utrecht. All public transport services can be found here. Take trams, buses, the metro, ferries or you can even hire a Segway scooter for an hour. Many visitors hire bicycles for the whole duration of their visit. Riding around the city on two wheels will allow you to see Amsterdam from a whole new perspective. It’s healthy, quick and convenient as well as cheap and lots of fun.
The streets behind the apartment lead to Nieuwmarkt and the Waterlooplein Market, the oldest part of the city. Make your way along Sint Antoniesbreestraat and you will spot a charming toy shop called ‘Knuffels’. It’s hard to miss the crazy window display featuring cuddly toys and gadgets bouncing up and down and decorative spinning wind mills. Inside you will find more of the same, perfect for that special toy or gift for young loved ones back home. Possibly Amsterdam’s most famous decorated bicycle is parked outside. You will have to wait your turn if you want to take a photo as it is something of a camera magnet!
Across the road from the apartment just a few minutes’ walk to the east is the wonderful NEMO science museum. Resembling the huge bow of a ship rising out of the water, it is the perfect place to take restless children. They are sure to love the wonderful interactive scientific exhibits on show. The museum has a refreshingly strictly hands ON policy. Head up to the roof where you can enjoy amazing views of the city or join local Amsterdammers in the summer for a spot of sunbathing.
