The amount of space that this charming Amsterdam apartment offers is just right for a group of 4 looking for a place to stay in the northern part of the city.
The suburban style of the outdoor appearance of the place can be quite misleading, as inside you will arrive to a refreshingly modern interiors, though traces of rural décor are also present. Still, the apartment enjoys a great dose of friendly vibes and grants its guests a rich supply of useful facilities, as well as a very cosy atmosphere.
The bright and spacious living area comes furnished with a vibrant sofa, a small study with a chair and plenty of storage units studded with books and other daily items. And here’s something special – if you look deeper inside, you’ll see an opening in the wall, which makes an entrance to one of the two bedrooms. Quite unusual, isn’t it?
The other bedroom is located in a separate room and also offers a double bed, a pair of bedside units, a capacious wardrobe and a wonderful mood to enjoy a sound sleep. There’s also a TV-DVD home entertainment centre, but if you’re not in the mood for a stay-in, you can always relax outside in the lovely garden, and as there’s no kitchen in the apartment, you have every excuse to eat out as often as you like.
The apartment is complete with a fresh, plain-style bathroom equipped with a range of amenities – sink, toilet, shower and a bathtub.
Please note that there is a cleaning clost of 150 Euros.
The tranquility that characterizes the direct surroundings of your place of stay continue even further. The northern part of Amsterdam enjoys a healthy balance between the urban and the rural. You only need a 15-minute walk to get to the more contemporary part of the area and explore the ‘suburban-styled’ streets and alleys of the docklands and its vicinities. You’ll come across many great eating establishments and cafés, that’s for sure, but if you head more to the west to Overhoeks, you’ll be able to visit the most exciting spot in this part of Amsterdam – the amazing EYE Film Institute! And from there it’s only a stone’s throw (or a ferry’s trip) to central Amsterdam, with all the highlights like Oude Kerk, De Wallen or Dam Square.
Still, if you’re a bit of an escapist, you’re bound to appreciate the proximity of the local ‘green lungs’ in the form of Volewijkspark, Vilegenbos and Schellingwouderbreek. The first of them is a city park – perfect for a picnic or a some less-demanding sports activities. The second is a natural forest (the oldest in Amsterdam), rich with some fascinating species of plants and animals. And the third is a beautiful lake, which is a paradise for Nordic Walkers, cyclists, but also a perfect place to have a leisurely stroll away from the hurly-burly of the city.
