eautifully furnished apartment boasts attractive wooden flooring throughout, a high ceiling, wooden beams and a fresh white décor. The tasteful furniture and flat screen TV create a homely atmosphere. You are sure to feel relaxed during your stay here. The two bedrooms are prettily presented with a comfortable double bed in one room and two singles in the second. A contemporary bathroom is fitted with two sinks, a shower and toilet.

Location

This wonderful city pad boasts a prime location between the leafy and fresh district of the Plantage and the Dapperbuurt. These are both great districts in the east of Amsterdam with some excellent attractions and just a ten minute walk away from the historical city centre and canal belt. Trams trundle regularly almost right past the apartment and there are two stops you can hop on close by if you want to get to Central Station quickly. With nearly sixty museums to explore in Amsterdam you can begin your visiting list at the Tropenmuseum which lies a minutes’ walk away – just across the road from the apartment. With its incredible collection of non-western artefacts it tells a fascinating historical story woven with a myriad of cultural strands.

Head along the Plantage Middenlaan to discover the wonderful Hortus Botanicus (horticultural museum) where you can walk amongst giant cacti in the huge hot greenhouses and experience rainforest-like temperatures. This has to be the ideal place to visit on a rainy or cold day. Just across the road from here is the city’s iconic Waterlooplein Flea Market. This is the place to pick up that truly unique souvenir of your stay in Amsterdam and there are plenty of unusual photo opportunities to be had.
Make your way to the most northern corner of the market and emerge onto the main road, Sint Antoniebreestraat. To your immediate right stands the Rembrandt House Museum, once the home of the great master himself. Inside you can see rooms mocked up to look as it would have in his day and some of his actual paintings and etchings. Directly across the road you will notice a wonky house, Café Sluyswacht. This is the perfect place to stop off for a cool beer or frothy hot chocolate. Enjoy the terrace outside in the warmer months and admire the view of the Montelbaan Tower further along the canal which Rembrandt famously painted many times.
