Attractively presented and located just 10 minutes away from the old city centre of Amsterdam, this inviting 2-bedroom holiday home is ideal for up to 6 guests.
Located on the third floor, the apartment boasts a very welcoming ambience with its bright décor and light wooden floorboards. You are encouraged to relax in the living room area where you will find a big comfy sofa and flat screen TV. The sofa also converts into a bed at night time for two of your guests.
Two private bedrooms are fitted with a double bed in one room and two singles in the second. There’s plenty of storage for all your clothes and belongings whilst the décor is simple and restful.
Adjacent to the living room lies a fantastic kitchen area where you conjure up favourite dishes from home. Topping off this impressive holiday retreat is a private bathroom fitted with a sink, bath and toilet.
Extra Information: Because the apartment is situated on the 3rd floor and only reachable by fairly steep stairs, it is less suitable for elderly or handicapped people.
The apartment boasts a really rather wonderful location just a 10 minute walk away from the old city centre. It sits on the cusp of two fascinating and rather beautiful districts known as the Plantage and Dapperbuurt. The latter is home to the famous Dappermarkt, or Dapper Market, which was fairly recently ranked in the ‘top ten markets in the world’ by the National Geographic Traveller Magazine. This is a great place to buy some delicious unusual cooking ingredients as well as handicrafts and clothing.
The Plantage, meanwhile, is a very attractive leafy city zone with impressive architecture and a laid back pleasant ambience. Just across the road you will find the city’s Tropenmuseum which is home to a wealth of fascinating international non-western exhibits. It is also adjacent to the very restful Oosterpark or Eastern Park, which also features a central pretty lake. Certainly an ideal spot for a picnic.
Make your way into the city on foot or if you have heavy luggage you can hop on a tram close by that runs almost right past the apartment. Our top tip is to hire bicycles during your stay. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the city at a slightly faster pace and you will certainly see so much more.
