Perfectly situated in the pretty Plantage district, just a 10 minute walk from the old city centre, this fantastic apartment accommodates up to 6 guests.
Located on the 3rd floor, the apartment boasts a beautiful and inviting interior. Carefully designed with your comfort in mind you will find a living space with a sofa and flat screen TV where you can relax. The sofa also converts into a double bed at night time for two of your guests.
A fitted kitchen enables you to prepare favourite meals from home whilst the dining table and chairs enable everyone to eat comfortably in a sociable setting.
The bedrooms feature a double bed in one room and two singles in the second, whilst a private bathroom is fitted with a sink, bath and toilet.
Extra Information: Because the apartment is situated on the 3rd floor and only reachable by fairly steep stairs, it is less suitable for elderly or handicapped people.
Lying to the immediate east of the old city centre, this impressive city pad boasts a wealth of interesting and fun activities and visitor attractions close by. Just across the road is the impressive Tropenmuseum which boasts a fascinating collection of non-western artefacts. There’s plenty to see here whilst just next door you will find a beautiful park known as the Oosterpark with its pretty lake and green open area. It’s the perfect place to relax on a warm day with your guests and enjoy a picnic.
The apartment sits on the cusp of the Plantage district and the Dapperbuurt. The latter is famous for its exciting market which was recently featured in National Geographic Traveller Magazine and recognised one of the world’s top ten street markets.
The Plantage meanwhile is a very leafy and open area with impressive architecture. It’s also home to Artis, one of Europe’s oldest zoos. Don’t worry though, the animal enclosures are very much up to date offering the most humane measures possible for a caged animal. The trip to the nearby Hortus Botanicus (horticultural museum) makes an ideal day out on a cold or rainy day since here you can walk amongst the giant cacti in the huge hot houses and experience rainforest-like temperatures.
Look for a unique souvenir at the wonderful Waterlooplein flea market and enjoy a hot chocolate or cool beer at Café Sluyswacht a little further up the road. You can’t miss this extremely wonky old building just opposite the Rembrandt House Museum at the northern most corner of the market.
You can easily walk into the city form the apartment in around 10 minutes and if you prefer to take a tram with your luggage to Central Station you can hop aboard at one of two tram stops very close by. Indeed the tram almost trundles past the apartment itself.
