Location

The City Park Apartment is located within easy walking distance of the Leidseplein, perhaps the city’s most popular entertainment area. Excellent public transport links can be accessed taking you quickly to and from Central Station and from there to the airport. Near the apartment you will find tram and bus stop Overtoom. Be sure to visit the Museumplein where you can spend an afternoon exploring the mammoth Rijksmuseum and all its national and international treasures and art works. Or pop over the square to the Van Gogh Museum and admire the great master’s creations. The museum has the largest collection of his works and some enlightening self portraits. Another interesting museum here is Het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam for modern art and design.

The Heineken Experience museum is only a few minutes further along the road, a popular visitor attraction where you can find out all about the history of Holland’s most famous export product. If you are feeling hungry then why not check out
traditional Dutch cuisine at Restaurant Moeders at Rozengracht 251. ‘Moeders’ is the Dutch word for ‘mothers’ and since the opening, 25 years ago, the owners have encouraged visitors to bring along a photo of their mothers to be stuck up on the walls of the restaurant.
