Conveniently situated within the sought after Jordaan district of Amsterdam, this apartment is within easy reach of a number of shops, cafes and restaurants. The renowned 9 Streets, which boast a collection of chic boutiques, fashionable retailers and fine dining establishments, are also just a short walk away.
Literally minutes away, you will find the Jordaan’s stunning Westerkerk (West Church), which is a sight definitely worthy of a visit. Designed by Hendrick de Keyser in the early 1600s, the church is loved for its striking architecture and huge 85 metre high tower, which can be viewed from across the city. The famous Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn is also buried at the Westerkerk, in an unmarked grave.
Also close by is one of Amsterdam’s most popular tourist attractions, the Anne Frank House Museum, which is located to the north of the apartment along the picturesque Prinsengracht Canal. The house is where Anne Frank wrote her well-known diary, whilst hiding from the Nazis during the Second World War. Nowadays, the museum allows visitors the chance to journey through the building and view the secret annex in which the Jewish family concealed themselves.
