Why not visit Amsterdam’s notorious Red Light District? It is just across the road from your apartment. Be sure to explore the long canals at night time when the area really comes to life. The red neon lights reflect atmospherically in the canal water.
Call in to the 90 year old exquisite Art Deco designed Tuschinski cinema, possibly one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world. Just next door is the popular entertainment area Rembrandt Square where you can enjoy a beer outside whilst being entertained by street performers and musicians on a summer evening.
Take a stroll to the east of the city and visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens where you can walk amongst the giant cacti and lush exotic plants in the tropical green houses. An excellent day out on a rainy or cold winter’s day!
A very pleasant spacious apartment offering good value compared with some of the very small hotel rooms in the central area. The owners live next door and are extremely hospitable and helpful. This place was a real find!James - Date: 14:18 15-09-2012 Source: AmsterdamApartments.com
