The audience gets to choose the winner. Here you can also see chefs do 30-minute cooking sessions and let you taste little samples to teach you about the dishes that they prepare so that you can even try them back at your short stay apartment or impress your friends and family when you travel back home.
You can get behind the stove at the festival too with the AEG Cooking Club where chefs give you direction on preparing a dish in the professional kitchen. This is an especially fun element if you are on a short stay with a group of family, friends or colleagues because you can all get involved for a bit of enjoyment and camaraderie. And after about 45 minutes you have a dish that you can enjoy eating together!
Every good meals needs a perfect wine companion so head to the Lekkere Wijntips Theater (Tasty Wine Tips Theatre) to find out which wine goes with your favourite dishes. Here Edwin Raben lets you see, smell and taste various wines, and teaches you the art of food and wine pairing.
